access scope.
Gift card is an alternative payment method, each with a specific value. Each gift card has a unique code that is entered during checkout. Its balance can be redeemed over multiple checkouts. In some cases, when a customer returns unwanted goods from their last purchase, gift cards can be created and given to customers as reward for loyalty and compensation for any unpleasant shopping experience. This strategy greatly increases the chances of repeat purchases.
Usage notes
- You can't delete gift cards, but you can disable them.
- You can't enable gift cards that were previously disabled.
- Gift card codes cannot be retrieved after they're created—only the last four characters can be retrieved.
